ChatGPT apps and Claude connectors for insurers and lenders
A ChatGPT app, or a Claude connector, puts your product inside the customer's conversation, where it can ask questions, show a quote and take their confirmation as cards in the chat. In ChatGPT the app comes as part of a plugin, and Marrow runs insurance products in both today.
- ChatGPT plugin
- ChatGPT app
- Claude connector
- MCP server
One build, in both ChatGPT and Claude.
ChatGPT
An app, inside a plugin the customer adds from ChatGPT's directory, or that ChatGPT suggests when it's relevant to what they've asked.
Claude
A connector the customer adds from Claude's directory, or from a link you give them.
Both run on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), so Marrow builds your product once and it goes into each with its own listing. Adding another product doesn't mean another app.
From the customer's question to your quote, in three cards.
Clearstone checks what it already knows.
Marrow looks up what it can from the details the customer's given and plays it back for them to confirm, so nothing's recorded as fact until they have.
What an app gets you that a link to your site doesn't.
Quotes where the question's asked
Customers get your price inside the conversation they're already having, rather than being sent off to a form.
Wording the assistant can't change
Your disclosures sit in the card, so the assistant can talk around them but can't paraphrase them.
A record of every confirmation
What the customer confirmed, and when, goes into a record your compliance team can review.
One product in both assistants
Built once, listed in ChatGPT and Claude, and held to the same rules in each.
What people ask us about ChatGPT and Claude.
Is a ChatGPT plugin the same as a ChatGPT app?
Not quite. Since July 2026 ChatGPT's directory has listed plugins, and a plugin can bundle apps with skills and templates. The app is the part that connects to your product, so it's what Marrow builds and what sits inside your plugin. (The plugins OpenAI launched in 2023 were something different, and were retired the following year.)
Do we need a separate build for Claude?
Not a separate product. ChatGPT apps and Claude connectors both use MCP, so the same product can go into both, though each has its own listing.
Do we need our own MCP server?
Not if you use Marrow. Marrow runs the connection and links it to your existing pricing and underwriting, without rebuilding your core systems.
Can a customer buy insurance inside ChatGPT?
Not at the moment. OpenAI wound down its in-chat checkout in March 2026, and neither ChatGPT nor Claude supports paying for an insurance policy inside the conversation. The customer gets their quote and confirms the details in the chat, then finishes the purchase with you.
Can the assistant change what our disclosures say?
Not in Marrow's cards. The wording sits in the card itself, so the assistant can talk around it but can't rewrite it.
Your customers won’t all arrive the same way.
Personal agents

Protocols like ACP, UCP and AP2 that let an agent pay for someone, and where they fit in a regulated sale.Your website and WhatsApp
The same journey on your own site, or on your own WhatsApp Business number.
