About this role

This is Marrow's technical face to the market. You'll take what the platform team builds and make it work in the real world - integrating with carrier systems, configuring and deploying product journeys, and feeding everything back to the core team.

Half the job is deeply technical. Half is sitting across from an insurer's CTO or product team and being taken seriously. You need to be credible on both sides of that table - and you need to find that combination genuinely energising, not exhausting.

Anthropic calls this an 'applied AI engineer'. We think of it as the person who closes the gap between what the platform can do and what an insurer actually needs. It's one of the highest-leverage roles in the company.

You'll play a key role in

  • Configuring and deploying product journeys on the Marrow platform for each carrier or MGA partner
  • Building and maintaining integrations with policy admin systems, quoting engines, and data feeds
  • Data mapping and schema translation between Marrow's model and each insurer's existing architecture
  • Spotting patterns across deployments and turning them into platform improvements
  • Technical scoping for new insurer partnerships - defining what's possible and what it'll take
  • Helping define what a genuinely good AI insurance journey looks like in production

You should apply if

  • You have an insurance, insurtech, or closely adjacent background - you understand how carriers, MGAs, and intermediaries actually think and work
  • You're already fluent with agentic tooling - Claude Code, LangGraph, or equivalent; not necessarily building pipelines from scratch, but you hit the ground running
  • You're hands-on with APIs, data mapping, and integration work - this isn't a consultancy role
  • You're as comfortable in a carrier meeting as you are in a terminal - in the same afternoon
  • You get frustrated when the platform limits what you can do for a customer, and you do something about it

Not ticking every box? That's fine. If you're genuinely excited by the problem and have most of what we're describing, we'd rather hear from you than not.

What's in it for you

  • Founding team status with meaningful equity
  • Direct, senior-level exposure to UK carriers and MGAs from day one
  • Real autonomy over how you approach each deployment - no one micromanaging the method

The interview process

Three stages, kept short:

  1. 0130-minute intro call with Tim (CEO) to talk about the role and your background
  2. 02Technical walkthrough with Adam (CTO) - we'll work through a real integration scenario together
  3. 03Informal session with the broader team

We'll move as fast as you need us to.
